JOINT PROJECT WITH MCC

Comprehensive, emergency assistance in providing food, hygiene items to TDPs

About project

Comprehensive, emergency assistance in providing food, hygiene items to IDPs (temporarily displaced persons) in war conditions, with further support in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

About 500,000 displaced persons have registered in the Dnipropetrovsk region to date. The load on the Dnieper is growing.
Residents of the districts close to the Dnieper - Novomoskovsk, Pavlograd, Kamenskoye, Sinelnikovo, Zhovti Vody - turn to us for help and ask for help.
In addition, near the city of Dnipro, situations in Nikopol, Marganets, Krivoy Rog, Kharkiv, Kherson region, Bakhmut have escalated, and people from these cities are fleeing to the Dnieper.
People from the de-occupied territories appeared, in which housing is not adapted for living in the winter and spring periods, as well as many houses are destroyed, there is no water, heat, light. Basically, these are families with children and elderly single people (Kharkiv region - Volchansk, Kupyansk, Balakleya, Izyum, Kovsharovka, Kozachya Lopan, Stary Saltov), Kherson region (left bank), Mykolaiv region, continue to come from Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Thanks to the project, it became possible to reach a large number of IDPs from the hot spots of Ukraine and urgently help them with the most necessary things: food and personal hygiene products.

Many shops are closed during the day, and the migrants are not able to buy the necessary products. This complicates the process of acquiring the basic necessities for a mother with children and lonely elderly people and people with disabilities.

It was found that even greater need for these people is in high-quality, positive communication, psychological assistance, consultations and mutual support groups, assistance in raising children, developing activities with them, etc.
One of the areas of assistance is personal and group counseling by a psychologist, group meetings of mutual support. Through the obvious positive changes in people and their feedback, we are convinced how superimportant this is for the soul-wounded, confused, exhausted physically and morally!

Working with children is especially inspiring - as children ask their parents to bring them to classes - and with pleasure, by the light of a flashlight or candle, they conduct classes.
Parents and everyone who receives help are very grateful to the employees that even in extreme situations, when everything around is closed, help centers continue to work.
