About project

Taking into account that our foundation is focused on comprehensive work with families, we turned our efforts to researching the problem of relationships in the family between spouses and between parents and children. Today there is a problem of an acute lack of structured, competent knowledge in the field of building relationships in the family at different levels of the family system: spouses, children-parents, brothers-sisters, family-society. The lack of basic knowledge and skills in the field of building relationships and education, benevolent support from the state and the immediate environment has led to the fact that we are seeing deviant statistics of problematic marriages, an increased number of divorces, abandoned children, socially dysfunctional families and a demoralized base of the younger generation. Project objective: Conducting educational and preventive work in the form of seminars, lectures, trainings, group meetings on an ongoing, regular basis for parents (future and present), spouses (future and present), teachers (preschool institutions, schools), social services in the city Dnieper, and later the region (Kamenskoye, Pavlograd, Pokrov, etc.) Zaporozhye, Kharkov, Krivoy Rog. The Positive Parenting and Marriage Project is an ongoing project. At first, the project is designed for 6 meetings (2 hours each) or a one-day seminar. The project is planned to continue on an ongoing and regular basis. Activities: 1. Advocacy and raising the issue of a healthy and fulfilling family; 2. Providing families and their representatives with complete, high-quality and structured information about building relationships, resolving conflicts, building relationships, raising children and overcoming critical life periods of the family and child; 3. Create conditions for the formation of a positive, friendly and competent atmosphere and environment for families through meeting other families (new experiences, new acquaintances); 4. Increase the level of moral and spiritual values of the family and family relationships; 5. Help every family in need establish interpersonal and parent-child relationships, help create comfortable moral, spiritual and material conditions for the life and development of spouses and children. The international charitable foundation “Step with Hope”, with the assistance of our partners “Save the Children” (certified training of our specialists and provision of the plan and content of classes), has developed a program that increases the level of competence of spouses and parents. The program consists of the following modifications: 1. Training seminar (3-4 hours) on the topic of raising children or building marital relationships. 2. Lecture (1-1.5 hours) on the topic of raising children or building marital relationships. 3. Thematic group meetings (6-7 meetings, 2 hours each) on the topic of raising children or building marital relationships. Topics are selected taking into account the relevance of the problem, level of complexity and age category. Parents and spouses who have completed the course (lecture, training) understand the importance of working on family relationships (between spouses and children), try to find a way out of the current difficult circumstances, apply the knowledge gained and practice new useful skills. Those who have completed the course tell their loved ones, friends, and colleagues about practical and useful information, and invite them to attend similar meetings, seminars, trainings, and lectures. As a result of working on your relationships - a strong and friendly family that can cope with difficulties and solve complex issues - communities of positively-minded families - a morally stable society - a strong and healthy nation.
